Since the beginning of the year we are trying to get a csa going (amap in french, association pour le maintien d'une agriculture paysanne). We had several meetings with 10-15 people each time. In early april we proposed a farm visit for interested people on a sunday at 10 o'clock. By 10 30 there were 5 people and I was quite frustrated. But after lunch people started showing up and did not stop coming. All told ther must have been 80 to 100 people who dropped by.
A week ago we had the final meeting for the amap and 17 people came who joined on the spot and wrote our cheques for the whole year (the principle is that people write a cheque for each month and hand the over to a treasurer and at the beginning of each month the treasurer hands one cheque from each household over to me). An enourmous gesture of trust I find. The amazing thing is that most people live close by. I was not sure that we would manage to get a csa going without going to a city.
I will start delivering boxes beginning of june and am quite confident to have 30 families by then.

creamery
Soon it will be ready and we can officially start making cheese in it, thanks to yan relentlessly working on it. Looks amazing from the inside, unfortunately i do not have a picture from before he started working on it, but you can divine the state it was in from the way it looks from the outside. Once this is functional we can actually start bringing dairy products to market.
