We have got the corn in. We are very happy because until recently we did not know how we would get it in. We wanted it to be harvested by a machine that harvests the whole cob and there are not so many around. The corn needs to be dried after harvest. And if it is still on the cobs we can have the in the cribbs and let them dry slowly as everybody did here 10-20 years ago. It is cheaper and does not use up petrol. The cribbs are still standing and some people are still using them. We had another reason, when you bring your corn to the agricultural cooperative to dry, you leave immediately with the corn of someone else, so as to not to drive twice. But we want our animals to eat our corn.
